We were honoured to once again provide the paving for Alitex's Chelsea Flower Show stand, located on the Main avenue amongst the iconic show gardens. This year marked Alitex's 60th year at Chelsea & 70th year in business and was celebrated with yet another 5-star trade stand award! The outside of the stand was paved with our Sawn Edge Antique Honey Cathedral Limestone, providing a natural stone flagstone base for the amazing 'Bodelia' table which was made from a single cedar plank with matching burnt ash stools by the very talented Oli Carter. The yellow limestone paving complimented the beautiful array of bedding plants from Plants Pennnard which were chosen for their smell and taste to create an edible oasis that was designed and planted by Sakura.

The Ickworth

The Ickworth greenhouse was a firm favourite of the Chelsea crowds, especially during the thundery showers on Tuesday, and it's not hard to see why. The Ickworth is Alitex's largest greenhouse, part of their National Trust range and was finished in beautiful 'Bronze Manganese' powder paint, which perfectly complemented the olive & beige tones in our Shrewsbury Tumbled Limestone flooring. The idyllic space was adorned with charming re-loved items from Lamb and Newt, taking your eyes right the way around every nook and cranny. Vintage glassware and pretty pottery sat perfectly against the edible planting and the mix of oversized lampshades provided a cosy atmosphere alongside the velour armchairs. Each limestone path led to the large dark botanical cocktail bar at the far end of the greenhouse which was studded with British spirits, wines and liquors from The Pig Hotels, who created a cocktail menu based on their kitchen gardens and collaborated with Lamb and Newt to create the convivial vibes in this utterly inspirational living space.

The Mottisfont

The Mottisfont Greenhouse in white was the perfect setting for our National Trust Brick Pavers. This greenhouse was filled with edible, fruit, herbs and veg from Plants Pennard and was based on the Pig Hotels Kitchen Gardens. The space featured a wooden desk to sit at for creating menus, stacked vintage pallets and beautiful shelves peppered with vintage potting shed essentials such as wicker baskets, pots and rustic plant labels. A truly beautiful place to sit and reflect or lovingly tend to crops. The Mottisfont really came into its own when the sun shone through and lit up the terracotta brick paving and brilliant green foliage- creating an ambient warmth and a subtle nod to nostalgia, making for an incredibly inviting space.
