Pre Purchase
StoneCast - This is a highly refined, exceptionally high standard concrete paving product handmade in the UK by Westminster Stone. StoneCast is crafted using the highest quality pigments, additives, fibre reinforcement and raw materials, each piece is cured for 7 days using an innovative Spacer System. StoneCast is extremely durable and made to withstand the UK’s adverse weather conditions. It is available in a large range of sizes, colours, textures and finishes and can be laid indoors and out.
Porcelain - This is a low maintenance option for paving and flooring. The product is water resistant, naturally non-slip and extremely durable. Porcelain is made from a mixture of sand, clay and minerals heated to a temperature of 1400 degrees, producing a strong resilient material with a scratch free, non-slip surface that retains its colour. Porcelain is completely consistent in style and colour within each tile and from tile to tile so is ideal for those that prefer a uniform finish and for indoor/outdoor schemes perhaps with the use of bi-fold or sliding doors.
Granite - This beautiful natural material is one of the hardest substances in the world and is very low maintenance making it ideal for heavy traffic areas. Granite is resistant to scratching, chipping and staining, providing a lovely contemporary finish to your exterior and interior spaces. It is heat resistant so is ideal for use with a bbq or fire-pit. It also has a safe, slip resistant surface. We recommend a sealant is applied to keep it in tip top condition.
Natural Stone - Natural stone is strong, durable and resistant to all weather conditions for a very natural looking appearance. Each natural stone product is unique, providing a wide variation in texture, size and tone from piece to piece. Natural stone will require some annual maintenance to keep it in tip top condition. Suits traditional and contemporary landscapes and interiors.
Limestone - This product is durable and diverse, it offers a great choice of colours and styles for paving or flooring. Limestone is naturally non-slip so can be used in kitchens and bathrooms internally and wet areas within the garden such as ponds, swimming pools and around hot tubs.
Sandstone - This is one of the most common types of sedimentary rock and can be bought in smooth and riven variations. It is perfect for those that prefer natural colour variations and patterns and provides very beautiful paving and flooring. Sandstone is available in a wide choice of colours and finishes but please be aware it can be slippery underfoot. As interior flooring sandstone requires sealing to prevent staining.
Slate - A contemporary choice for indoors and out, slate creates an attractive, unique finish that is low maintenance and naturally non-slip. Suitable for use with underfloor heating, slate requires a sealant to provide protection to interior flooring. Externally slate is durable and provides a contemporary edge to your garden landscape.
Our paving products are designed for outdoors, whereas flooring products are perfect for use within your home. However, most of our paving products can be laid internally and are ideal for those who wish to extend their landscape indoors.
We aim to show each product authentically and have tried to provide images that are as close a representation as possible. However, if the product is wet or in different lighting, it can look different to our imagery. If you are unsure we recommend you order a sample before purchasing.
As natural stone products are quarried from the ground, they have natural variation which you’d expect to see from rock and stone that has formed over thousands of years. If you prefer more uniform colours, StoneCast or porcelain products will be more suitable for your needs because these products are manufactured, so colour variations are more consistent.
We try to keep our stock levels managed as accurately as possible, however in the current circumstances some products which are imported may take longer than normal for delivery. If the product you require is not immediately available we will call you with the options of a full refund, a suggestion for a similar product we can supply, or the option to wait with an extended lead time.
We always recommend that you allow 10% extra in case of breakages or damage whilst laying the product on site. It is normal to receive a couple of breakages in a pack and we suggest keeping these to one side to use for cuts.
All our our products are available in part packs, if you enter your required m2 on your product of interest it will give you how many packs you need and how many m2 of a split pack you’ll need, we do charge a 15% surcharge for picking and handling on part packs which is automatically calculated when you enter your area requirements.
Please sign up to our ‘Email Me When Back in Stock’ option. You will get an automatic email notification when your product arrives back in stock.

Delivery
Delivery is Free on all orders over £570 inc VAT for most UK postcodes. Standard delivery is £70 inc vat (on paving and flooring under £570 inc VAT) and £35+VAT for paving accessories. Details of postcodes with surcharges can be found on our delivery information page and will be automatically applied at the checkout.
Most products are available on standard delivery which takes 4-5 working days, however in our present times of uncertainty these lead times may be extended.
Next day and 2-3 day deliveries may be possible on some products, these will need to be ordered and paid for by 11am on the day of booking and additional delivery charges may apply.
Once you have ordered, we will contact you confirming your delivery date.
We offer a Click & Collect service from our National Display Centre near Ellesmere, Shropshire.
Your order will arrive between the hours of 7.30am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday. On the day of delivery we will endeavor to provide a more accurate time frame.
We will endeavour to supply all of your order in one drop, however if you’ve ordered multiple products from different suppliers on our website they may be dropped separately, but we will try to ensure they arrive on the same day.
Your delivery will be made either by crane, de-mountable forklift offload vehicle or tail offload delivery vehicle. Ideally there must be room for an HGV (10-12 metres long, up to 3 metres wide, 4.5 metres high) weighing up to 26 tonnes (similar to a removals lorry).
Please make us aware if access to your property may be difficult i.e delivery point is on a hill or steep incline, tight access for vehicles, dead end road with no turning point etc, so we can choose the best vehicle, method and staff to complete the job.
Due to the nature of the products we deliver, and the size and weight of the pallets they arrive in we advise to be on site to maximise your delivery, having them put in the wrong place and cause lots of unnecessary labour moving the products which could have been better place but instructions from someone on site. It will also give you the chance to check the product over and check they’ve been received in good condition.
This depends on the type of delivery, if you are receiving a kerbside delivery, these drops are done by our courier partners and drivers are not obliged to drop anywhere other than kerbside (although usually do so if you’re on site and willing to lend a hand) If you are receiving a delivery on the HIAB wagon (crane) we’ll be able to drop the pallets as close to the property as the wagon is able to park to lift them off from.
Demountable forklift is the most flexible delivery and we’re able to drop each pallet where needed as long as there is access for the forklift.
This is something we’ll discuss with you either at the time of order, or if you’ve ordered online once you’ve ordered.
We try to deliver as much on our mechanical offload vehicles as possible, although as we deliver nationwide and all products are distributed from our head office in Shropshire, we have to outsource some drops to our external courier partners.
Returns
It is fairly standard that you may receive a few breakages in a pack when they arrive and we suggest keeping these to one side for cuts. Don’t worry, if you have over ordered as we recommend, you will have enough for your project.
If your order arrives with lots of breakages (this does occasionally happen due to the nature of some products) then please report the breakages with a list of what is broken, images and the crate number to wsenquiries@westminsterstone.com
Yes, you’re free to change your mind, and as long as your product hasn’t been dispatched you should not incur any costs. If your product has been dispatched, then please be aware that due to the size and weight of the products we sell, returning them can be costly (in excess of £150 per pallet).
Yes, you can return your goods within 14 days of purchase. We will only accept and refund on goods which are returned in the same condition and packaging they were delivered in.
You will be liable for the costs of returning the goods which we will calculate and notify you in advance. Please be aware that our usual return price is in excess of £150 per pallet. You may arrange your own transport if you can find a better price.
If you are unsure about a product, we suggest you order a sample before making your purchase.
Samples
Samples can be ordered online for £6. Just head over to the product you’re interested in and click the ‘Order Sample’ button to proceed.
We charge just £9 for samples. We send out larger samples than most, if not all of our competitors to try and give a better gauge of what the product will look like, most suppliers send out 100x100mm samples which are the size of a coaster and difficult to make a decision from. Our samples tend to all be either 150x300mm or 300x300mm, sometimes this may differ when samples are in high demand, but we never send out tiny swatch samples.
Samples are non-refundable. They are made to order, and the purchase of them is to ascertain if you like the product, However, you should receive a card with your sample order, which will give you a link to a page on the website which allows you to order 1 additional sample free of charge if none of the samples were suitable, and give you the opportunity on that webpage to tell us what you didn’t like about the ones you received and what you were hoping for, so we can send out what we feel will be most suitable for you. If in the unlikely event your sample arrives damaged please get in touch including a photograph of your sample order and we can send out a single replacement.
