Mandy from 'Richards Residence' has kindly shared her journey to getting a beautiful modern garden makeover that enables her to soak up the sun from morning to night. Mandy used our wood-effect Porcelain to create a contemporary and low-maintenance space that emulates peace and calm. This post explores Mandy's journey from a sun-starved space to a contemporary oasis.

lawned garden to the right edged by grey brick and green topiary bushes. To the left is a grey porcelain patio with a raised bed and spiral green trees.

Previously our sitting area was at the back of the garden which only really got the sun in the morning. My brief was literally I want to be able to walk out of the door and be able to sit out morning, afternoon and evening.

Matt of Matt Kight Landscape Design and Construction sent us along to Westminster Stone to chose our tiles. Once we saw the porcelain planks we knew that was exactly what we wanted.

Matt designed the garden and patio area around our choice of tiles which is kept minimal as the tiles literally do speak for themselves It now feels like our garden is an extra room and we couldn’t be happier

We hadn’t decided on porcelain until we saw it but we loved the clean look, low maintenance and non porous aspect. We went to Westminster Stone with an open mind regarding choices. They have an excellent display and the salesperson was extremely helpful talking us through options pros and cons etc. Delivery was prompt and we were able to return unused boxes. Excellent service all round.
