Westminster Stone has worked with Alitex for over 10 years providing paving for RHS shows such as Chelsea Flower Show and Hampton Court. This year, Alitex won the coveted 'Best Trade Stand' Award at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2023, featuring garden paving from two of our NEW National Trust paving ranges.

Outside the Greenhouses

Alitex went back to basics this year with a nod to nostalgia and the original usage of greenhouses - to grow crops! Nelly at Alitex had grown many of the fruit and vegetables from seed at their head office in Petersfield, along with some added growing from sustainable gardener Julia Parker. Lamb House Limestone from the Townhouse Paving Range graced the outside of the Hidcote and bespoke greenhouse this year. offering a neutral base for the raised planters, a cold frame and a wonderful wooden bench with bug hotel legs. In the back corner there was a table with a central groove for planters to sit in. The stand this year oozed kitchen garden vibes along with some on-trend rewilding touches.

The Bespoke Greenhouse

Inside the bespoke greenhouse, from the west side, was a path of Brick Pavers -which have been reused and relaid for over 10 years at Alitex stands across the UK! This entranceway featured crops such as gourds and strawberries. Leading into the main space which was laid with our new Tintagel Aged Slate paving from the Coastal Cottage Range. This room brought all the attention to what was growing and featured beautiful orchids from McBean's Orchids, along with the sea of greenery. The grey tones in the slate paving worked beautifully with the planting and added to the more natural feel of this year's show. Furniture was kept to a minimum with a beautiful wooden bench featuring custom block-printed cushions from Molly Mahon.
