Using character Flagstones is undoubtedly one of the most
attractive and practical ways of creating a traditional lived-in
feeling, whether outdoors or in; they help to create a timeless
mood and atmosphere.
The Ridings of Yorkshire and its neighbour Lancashire have
provided us with arguably the most beautiful building stones
and flags in the world and have been loyally used by the counties
in the building of almost everything - from textile mills
to cathedrals.
Westminster Stone are proud to accurately reproduce four
random flagstone ranges, authentically capturing every detail
of the original; the traditional Reclaimed Flag range emanating
from Lancashire and Yorkshire, and the newly quarried Yorkstone
Flag range.
Both flagstone ranges are available in eleven modular sizes
to create a natural random effect. Complementary features
and accessories, as illustrated on pages eight to ten, will
enhance your flagstones - the finest details are often the
most important. The flags happily lend themselves to design
projects such as our Classic Rotarea or Classic Octimum, to
add a truly distinguished feature to your garden.
Old Yorkshire Street Flags
Reclaimed from the streets of towns and cities throughout
the land, these magnificent footworn old flags with the warmth
of subtle green/grey hues authentically reproduced, add an
incomparable charm and maturity to any environment - both
indoors and out.
Old Lancashire Mill Flags
Capturing the ambience of a nineteenth century textile mill,
these dignified old flags retain all the integrity from centuries
past. Once again, the original masters have been hand selected
by experts to accurately illustrate the markings and character
prevalent in these conditions; evidence of machine, water
and footwear can be seen on most flags. Its old grey to grey/green
hues we appropriately describe as "Hobnail Grey".
